sky hovers somber:
london morning
in muted grey
and teasing sounds/
church bells ring
lazy synchrony
it’s sunday, honey
sleep abounds.
let’s lie right here,
bed-framed photo
of threaded sheets
and tangled arms/
let’s save the night
before it drowns
in yawning trees,
butterfly calm.
cars stroll gazing,
reminding, intently
as you look at me
how can i deny/
the warming touch
of fleeting forever
in you i feel:
just let time fly.
